Due to the circumstances of Monday's Bills vs Bengals game, ESPN Fantasy has released the following update regarding Week 17 matchups. In summary, ESPN is moving onto Week 18 after today (Wednesday), and posting the results of Week 17 as they stand today. If the NFL decides to reschedule the Bills vs Bengals game at a future date, and it is played, then ESPN will adjust the Week 17 scoring/matchups to account for that. If the game is cancelled entirely, and not played, then ESPN will finalize and certify the Week 17 results as they stand. In either situation, the Week 17 results will not be finalized by ESPN until the NFL makes a decision on the Bills v Bengals game. As league commissioner, I am aligned with this decision, and will wait until the NFL announces their decision, and ESPN finalizes the Week 17 results, before arriving at our final standings and awarding any winnings. So the only thing to do is just sit tight for now. The entire ESPN post is linked below, for your review. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email or message me thru ESPN Fantasy. What you need to know about ESPN Fantasy Football Week 17 matchups In a shocking development during the semi-finals, 5th seed The Black Labs upset #1 seed Darrens Dummys while the Wild Card seeded Only Fants blew away the #2 seed BIG Grabowski. Some questionable lineup choices by both losing teams occurred during a weekend that saw half the NFL games played in sub-zero wind chills and high winds. BIG Grabowski fate was sealed by sub-zero weather and the train wreck that is the Denver Broncos. The DST had a complete meltdown against the Rams, subsequently resulting in the firing of the head coach one day later. It will be the Black Labs vs Only Fants for the Championship. Darrens Dummys and BIG Grabowski will meet to settle their differences and decide 3rd place. For the Toilet Bowl, currently fighting it out in total points scored are Bronco Country and Hard Knockers, who sit only 3 points apart heading into the final week. Best of luck to all in this final week of Fantasy Football! With NFL Week 14 in the books, our fantasy regular season has come to an end. The Weekly Contests are all finished as well. #1 seed Darren's Dummys and #2 seed BIG Grabowski have earned a first round BYE, while newcomer Only Fants made it into the playoffs this year as the wildcard, claiming the 6th and final playoff seed based on Total Points scored in the regular season between the 7 teams that didn’t make the cut based on win/loss record. Round 1 of the playoffs will see #4 seed Cape Crushers 2 vs #5 seed Black Labs and Only Fants vs #3 seed Notre Dameon. For the 6 teams that failed to earn a playoff seed, your season is not over. You will all compete in a 3-week long tournament for Total Points scored. The winner of each head-to-head matchup will not matter. The objective is simple, score the most points possible over the next 3 weeks. The team with the most combined Total Points scored over the next three weeks will be declared the winner of the Consolation Ladder, and awarded the 2022 Toilet Bowl along with 1st choice of 2023 Draft position! The curtain rises on the Fantasy Playoffs. Good Luck to all over the next 3 weeks. Wishing you all a Festive Holiday, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
For the 2nd week in a row, the same two teams recorded the Low and High scores in the league. Like the Eagles on Monday night, 1st place team Notre Dameon was blown out by his opponent. Facing off in Week 11 for the "Survivor" Last Team Standing contest are Darrens Dummys and Cape Crushers 2, the last two teams standing after 10 weeks. The team with the higher score in Week 11 will claim the $10 prize.
The circle has been broken! Some teams in a major slump broke out of it in Week 9. The most shocking beatdown occurred in The Black Labs vs Darren's Dummys matchup, where the Labs posted the league's highest Monster Score this season, while putting the Dummys in the hurt locker to a deficit larger than their total points scored.
